At Down to Earth Demolition Ltd, we are leading suppliers of aggregate from our base in Nottingham to customers across the region and elsewhere in the Midlands. With 30 years’ combined experience in the industry, our team of fully certified and insured professionals are environmentally-conscious in all our demolition work, recycling much of our aggregate from our demolition work. Our family-run business benefits from both a small-partnership ethos and the efficiency and advanced equipment of a much larger company.
The process of forming the aggregate starts with the crushing of concrete and hardcore, after which this mixture is screened to various sizes for different applications. These are as follows:
Type 1 (25mm Down)
Type 1 material is used for road building and paving in all forms of construction.
6F2 (75mm Down) / 6F2 Clean (75mm Down)
6F2 material is generally used as bulk fill to restore or raise land to the required level to enhance the land area or for development and is used below paving in all forms of construction.
Screened Soil (Dust)
Screened soil is mainly used as backfill for pipe bedding and other similar uses.
We accept Brick, Concrete & Soils to be tipped at our Nottingham Recycling Centre. Our Tipping Facility is Licensed by the Environment Agency for disposal of inert material – ie: Brick, Concrete, Soils. View our Certifications.
